A little help
finding your way.
Practical answers for the current Stride test build.
Signing in
How do I open my account?
Enter your email in Stride and choose Send sign-in email. Enter the newest code from your email in the app and choose Sign in.
Sign-in codes expire and can only be used once. If you requested another email, use its latest code. Do not share your code.
The email has not arrived.
Check the address and your spam folder. After the resend countdown, choose Resend code. Use the most recent email. Delivery may be limited during testing; repeated requests can trigger a temporary rate limit.
I am seeing a sample profile.
Designated development previews can show fictional sample records. They stay separate from your account and do not represent a paid membership. Open the profile icon and choose Leave preview to return to sign-in.
Your membership
How do I start?
Create or sign in to your Stride account, read and accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, then choose a plan. An active subscription or eligible free trial is required to use Stride's health, trends, journal and planning features. Connecting Google Health remains a separate, optional permission.
What do the plans cost?
The U.S. prices are $9.90 per month, $29.90 every six months, or $49.90 per year. All plans include the same features. The annual plan offers a seven-day free trial to eligible subscribers. Apple determines eligibility; a previous trial or subscription in the same group can make you ineligible. The purchase screen shows your actual local price, billing period and available offer before you confirm.
How do I cancel or change plans?
Open Your space → Membership → Manage subscription, or use Apple's subscription settings. Apple displays the effective date of a change. Cancelling renewal normally keeps your access until the paid period ends. Cancel a free trial at least 24 hours before it ends if you do not want to be charged. Uninstalling Stride, disconnecting Google Health and deleting your Stride account do not cancel Apple billing.
A payment failed. What happens to my access?
Apple may retry the payment and, when applicable, provide a billing grace period. Stride respects the access Apple confirms. Update your payment method in your Apple Account and refresh membership status in Stride. When the confirmed access period ends, the app returns to the membership screen without deleting your records.
I paid, but Stride is still asking me to subscribe.
Sign in to the same Stride account used for the purchase and use Restore purchases. Also check that your device uses the Apple Account that made the purchase. A purchase awaiting approval is not yet active. If verification is temporarily unavailable, retry when online; do not purchase again to fix a connection problem. Contact support if restoration identifies a different Stride account.
How do I request a refund?
Use Request a refund in Membership, or visit Apple's refund request page. Apple reviews App Store refund requests; submitting one does not guarantee approval. If a purchase is refunded or revoked, membership access follows Apple's updated entitlement.
Can I manage my data after my subscription ends?
Yes. You can still sign in, restore purchases, manage billing, read the legal pages, export your records, disconnect Google Health and delete your account. An expired membership does not itself delete your saved records.
Your Google Health connection
How does Stride get my Fitbit data?
Sign in to Stride, review and accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, then activate a subscription or eligible trial. Open your profile icon and choose Connect Google Health in Your space. Google asks you to choose an account and grant read permissions. Sync your tracker in its companion app first, then refresh Stride.
Stride reads data through Google Health. It does not pair directly with your tracker over Bluetooth. Availability depends on the device, Google account and permissions. Live Fitbit Air compatibility remains under verification.
Google says access is restricted.
The integration is being tested. A Google account may need to be included in the project's test audience, and some permissions require review before public access. Repeating consent will not bypass an access restriction.
The connection expired or a sync failed.
Check your internet connection and try Sync now in Your space. If Stride asks for permission again, reconnect Google Health. Read any sync warning: a partial update can leave some metrics older than others.
The app displays the last update and missing data. A completed tracker sync does not guarantee that every metric is immediately available from Google.
Apple Watch and Apple Health
How do I connect my Apple Watch?
In an iOS build with Apple Health support, sign in and activate your membership or eligible trial. Open Your space → Apple Health → Connect Apple Health, read the disclosure and choose which types Stride may read in Apple's permission sheet. Sync your Apple Watch with your iPhone first. Other devices are supported when their companion apps write compatible data to Apple Health; Stride does not pair with them directly.
Why are readings missing?
In the Health app, open your profile, then Apps → Stride (under Privacy or Apps and Services, depending on iOS) to review access. Refresh readings in Stride after changing permissions. Apple intentionally does not tell an app whether a missing reading means denied permission or no recorded data. Stride does not turn missing data into zero.
Some devices record sleep duration without stages, or do not provide blood oxygen, wrist temperature or VO₂ max. Stride reads up to 60 days of available records. Apple HRV uses SDNN; Fitbit typically uses RMSSD. These methods and their personal baselines are kept separate.
What if I connect both sources?
Choose Use Apple Health or Use Google Health. The selected source drives your health views and scores. Stride does not add their totals together, avoiding duplicate nights, steps and workouts. Source changes can require a new personal baseline.
Where are Apple Health records stored?
Stride reads them locally from HealthKit and keeps the imported view in memory while the app runs. Imported Apple readings are not uploaded to Stride's servers or copied into its persistent cache. Your separate Stride account, profile, journal and plans still use account storage. Disconnecting Apple Health or signing out clears its view in Stride; manage system permissions separately in the Health app. Original records in Apple Health remain unchanged.
Understanding your readings
Why is a recovery score missing?
Recovery needs sufficient prior observations and current readings. Personal baselines use prior data, with at least seven observations before a baseline is available. Keep syncing; Stride does not fill gaps with invented measurements.
Why does a score differ from another app?
Stride uses its own documented wellness calculations. Data windows, sleep targets, available measurements and calculation methods can differ. Stride does not reproduce another service's proprietary score.
What does Health age mean?
Open Health age from Today or Trends to explore your cardio fitness age. Choose the published reference group to use; your optional chronological age provides context. The feature needs a recent VO₂ max estimate and leaves missing data empty.
Choose a one-day, seven-day or 30-day window to compare available readings with published fitness reference values. A single eligible reading can provide a preliminary reference comparison; more observations reduce day-to-day variation. It is not a validated biological-age measurement or a prediction of how long you will live. Values beyond the reference are shown as limits instead of extrapolated ages.
Can I use Stride to make a medical decision?
No. Stride is intended for adults and general wellness. Its estimates are not diagnoses or medical advice. Do not use a score to ignore symptoms or replace qualified care.
Managing your records
Can I export my data?
Open the profile icon, then Your space → Export your data. Stride creates a JSON file with your account records, imported health data, journal and plans. Keep the export somewhere private; it may include sensitive health information.
Does disconnecting delete my account?
No. Disconnect stops future Google Health imports and revokes the connection. Saved Stride history remains until you delete the account. See the account-deletion instructions for the full removal path.
What happens when I close the browser?
The web app keeps health records in memory and fetches saved records after sign-in. Unsubmitted edits can be lost when the page reloads. Sign-in is stored for the current tab, subject to your browser's session restoration behavior. The native app uses operating-system secure storage for cached records.
